My husband's great-grandfather, only known as Joseph Bounty, was born 10 Oct. 1822 in Canada (one account states he was born in Quebec, but do not know if this means city or province of). He came to U.S. as a young man, settling in Greenwich, CT where he married Celestia Peck on 20 Jan. 1851. He remained in CT for his entire life. Does anyone know how I can find the names of his parents and place of birth.
