Le paraine a ete Antoine Rivest, et la maraine Marie Francois Robert qui nest declare (3 undecipherable words?).
Signee pere patria p. m.
Please accept my apologies for what may be obvious errors as I have an extremely limited knowledge of French.
Also onthe same day Joseph (as "quatre ans trois mois") and Angelique ("agee de trois jours") were baptized as illegitimate children.
There were no further entries in that mission church that I could recognize or read for any Descomps dit Labadie children. I believe that Antoine Louis and the church parted company because of this. Years later there was a record of the baptizm of Barthe's first child in the newly formed parish of Assumption. The records for the mission terminated about 1783 when Assumption parish was formed but the mission records were never transferred to become part of Assumption Parish records. The records for the other children and the marriage of Barthe to Antoine Louis are elsewhere but must exist. It will be necessary to examine both the civil records and those of nearby non-catholic churches to find them.
