Thanks for responding. I wish this was the end of my search, but there does not seem to be a connection.

Albert (name in polish: Wojciech) Laba's father was Josef Laba. On EllisIsland.com I found their arrival dates to America: 9th Feb 1907, ages: 17 and 45, ship: Amerika

Eventually father (Josef) returned to Poland and my grandmother, Maria, was born in 1911- and is still living at age of 90. It is sad that my grandmother had never met her brother (Albert).

I have an old picture taken in America of Albert with his wife and 5 children. If anyone is interested in viewing it ask me.

siblings of Albert Laba:
-Jan (had 3 children)
-Agnieszka (also named Jadwiga, no children, died young)
-Maria (is my grandmother, daughter Aniela- my mother)
