Carrie Ayers married Richard Clarence Clifton, Winn Parish, LA

Needing information on a "Carrie Ayers". She married my great-grandfather on July 13, 1911 in Winn Parish, Louisiana. My great-grandfather was Richard Clarence Clifton Sr. who married 2nd to my great-grandmother, Beulah Garner of Winn Parish, LA. Listed below is the type out of Richard and Carrie's marriage liscense:



State of Louisiana, Parish of Winn

Know all Men by These Presents;

THAT WE, R.C. Clifton as principal, and Print J. Martin as security , are held and firmly bound unto J.Y. Sanders Governor of the State of Louisiana, in the full sum of Five Hundred Dollars, for the payment of which, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly said severally by these presents.

Dated and signed at Winnfield, LA, this 13th day of July A.D. 1911.
WHEREAS a License has been this day issued by the Clerk of the District Court, in and for the Parish of Winn, to unite in the Bonds of Matrimony, the above bounden R.C. Clifton and Miss Carrie Ayres, Now, therefore, the condition of the above obligation is such, that if there exists no legal impediment to this alliance, then the said obligation to be null and void, else to remain in full force and virtue in Law.
