Susan, Thanks for your reply to my quesry about the Christopher Gayle family of West Feliciana Parish, La. I am also a direct descendant of Christopher through his daughter Unity who married Narcissus Graham. I have always wondered where the Christopher Gayle plantation and grave site was located. According to his estate inventory in 1820, he owned 30 slaves and an additional 500 acres in East Baton Rouge Parish, but it doesn't say anything about the location of his home plantation.
