Do you know anything about the Old Polk Place In WFP. Anyway I was told that Willis Hamilton of WFP once owned my greatgreatgrandfather Henry Polk Slave born Miss my greatgrandmother his daughter Barbara POlk married my greatgrandfather James Jackson. of WFP. I am quoting my cousin who live in WPF. said that Hamilton owner of my greatgreat grandfather Henry Polk after the civil war (due to something he did for this Hamilton ) gave gave my gggrandfather some acres of land to start his farm. because of this during the span of his live my gggrandfather was able to acquire over 1300 acre of which when he died in 1904 he left to his heirs 999.98 acres of which my greatgrandmother Barbara Polk left to her heirs 120 acres whic we still own. It is known as the Old Polk Place in WFP. I am still trying to verify if this Willis Hamilton was the owner of my greatgreatgrandfather Henry Polk all of the Polks and Jackson are buried behind the Old Polk Church in WFP. I was their three years ago and I saw the cementery.the church is called Plesanat Green Baptist Church.

I would like to know if your Willis Hamilton was the owner of my gggreatgrandfather if so the oral story I received regarding the two of them is very interesting.
