Diane: A lot of death certificates for that time period was not filed as they should have been..and a lot of them that were filed had the wrong information on them. My husband's brother died in Louisiana in the middle 1930s and there is no death certificate for him. The brother died a short time after my husband's father died in 1935 (I have the father's death certificate..he died when my husband was only three years old.) Per my mother in law the doctor came to the house in Franklin Parish Louisiana when the 12 years old son died of complications of measles and there should have been a death certificate filed but there was not, so you never can tell! Do you need any help with the Puckett family researach. Of course, this is not my family but I am always glad to help. Best Wishes in your research. Bobbie
