Tina, Could the Doshia/Doshie PICKERING of your posting be the Theodosia shown in the household of Matilda PICKERING on the 1900 Census [shown below]? It appears as if both Theodosia and Warren are adopted daughter and son respectively. Also, see the 1880 Census for the household of Whittington PICKERING and Mathilda. Notice that Whittington is 45 years old and Mathilda is 31 and they have no children but twenty years later there are five children born from 1884 to 1892. I have searched every state from South Carolina, Georgia and Florida to Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana on the 1850, 1860 and 1870 Censuses for this Whittington PICKERING with no success. Do you have anything on him? Thanks, Bob
