seeking the descendents of this Burns family James K.P. Burns moved from Nacogdoches County Tx around 1878 with wife Sarah Elizabeth and children John W.,Ceily(Carrie) married James Mathis,Naoma,Caroline E. and Mary K.(Mollie) who married Thomas J. Crosby.Other children born in La. were Ellen A. and John F.Most of this family are buried in the Burns Cemetary on Fort Polk Land.My grandfather John Thomas Burns was James K.P.Burns brother.
