Hi, I am not sure about a preacher named "Kinard" in Union Parish, but Graham Kinard born about 1797 in South Carolina lived in Union Parish in 1850 and died there 7 January 1862. If you want more information on his estate, look here:

Based upon his children's ages on the 1850 census, he moved to Union Parish from Alabama between 1843 and 1850.
