Joseph H Shultz was born abt 1837 according to the 1860 Union Parish census. He was living in the Austin Honeycutt household.
According to the Louisiana Confederate Pension Application filed by Mary Elizabeth Honeycutt Shultz 12 Nov 1898, she and Joseph married 12 July 1860 in Union Parish. Joseph died abt 15 Nov 1851 at Camp Moore from the measles.
Mary and Joseph had one child, Marion B Shultz. Marion was born 19 May 1861 and died 10 Apr 1909 and is buried in Hasley Cemetery in W Monroe. Marion married Delila Jones 14 Sept 1886 in Union Parish. They had 2 daughters, Clara and M Shultz.
Mary Honeycutt Shultz died 18 Feb 1925. Her granddaughters, Clara Petty and Mrs M Pardue, filed as her heirs for any pension due.
How does Joseph H Shultz fit into the other Shultz families of Union Parish? Any information on this family would be appreciated.
