A Marie or Mary Evans died 5 June 1870 In Oakland, LA and was buried in the Evans Cemetery, per family lore. She was born in Georgia and was my 3rd great-grandmother. Her daughter, Alcey, married Walter Brewer and her father-in-law was Alexander Wesley Evans (Evins) of Chattahoochee Co., GA. I know of at least two of his brothers.
Does anyone know of the Evans Cemetery in Union Parish, LA near Oakland and if there is a listing?
