Thanks for the message.
Andrew Holton was first married 9-25-1828 in Williamson Co, TN to Leticia Winsett and probably moved to Lawrence Co, MS sometime in the early 1830's and then to LA in 1849-50. This is also probably around the time that his last child was born and his wife died. He then married Mary Givens in 1851.
I don't have any info on Andrew in Lawrence Co and would be very grateful for anything that you find out about him.
I have been in correspondence with a lady in Tangipahoa Parish LA who is a local historian, and she sent me a letter last summer in which she mentions 3 different Joseph Robert Givens! I will be glad to send you a copy of this letter and maybe it will give you some clues for the line you are researching. I can either photocopy it and mail it to you, or try to see if I can scan it for an e-mail.
