I too am doing family research in Amite, La. If you will give me the name of the Amite cemetery --as there are several-- I will be glad to look up records on your Goss people. I will be going to Amite to do my research after the Mardi Gras holidays. I spoke to the sexton of Amite cemeteries this AM and he verified they have records going back that far. I also called up a site that lists names of people buried in Amite cemeteries. Can't recall at this time what it is but will try and let you know when I find it again.
