Research in St. Mary Parish

I'm going to be spending next Monday in St. Mary Parish doing genealogical research. Do any of you have any tips on the holdings in the public library in Franklin or on what's available in the courthouse? I haven't been able to find much information on the web about what might be available where.

(I should have asked this question earlier. I'm leaving town early Friday morning and probably won't have computer access between then and my visit to Louisiana. That leaves tomorrow as the only day for me to get helpful responses to this query.)
