I love to do research and I love a challenge. I found 8 children for Louis THibodeaux and Ophelia GUidry.
I dont know if there would be more info in the church records on Melisaire or not. Perhaps in the court house records? I dont know when their records start in Opelousas. I'm not familiar with that parish's records. Most of my research is done in Vermilion Parish.
If I can do anything else to help, let me know.
which of Louis and Ophelia's children is your grandfather?
