Onezime Louis Guidry and Modeste Potier m. 9 Aug. 1890. Opelousas, LA Court house records #23189 and at the Church Point, LA church, vol. 4, p. 249. She is daughter of Charles Bernard Potier and Melisaire Potier. this is from Rev. Hebert's SWLA records.
Do you think they lived together all those years, had children and finally in their golden years... as we say here....had their marriage blessed? They may have had one of those marriages when they were young where they just jumped over the broomstick and said they were married.
