Hi Karen,
Thank you for all your help. I have managed to trace the Bonin family back quite a ways, but I haven't had as much luck with the Albert family. This is about as far as I have managed to get. My father's family is such a large family and I have very little time to devote to my research.

It seems that Emma is Maurice's second marriage, maybe third? His first marriage was listed as being 13 years before, while hers was 3 years before. Then again, could this have been a typo?

I find it interesting to know that, even as recently as 1930, these people were illiterate. That is odd, knowing that public schools did exist in those years, even in small towns and communities. (My mother's father, born 1915 in Morganza, LA (Pointe Coupee Parish) which is a very, very small town, even now, and he was educated in a public school--- he used to tell us stories of how he walked miles and miles to school every day, in the cold, in the rain with no shoes, and how he was educated in a one room schoolhouse--- I think all old people tell those stories :-)

Thanks for all the info. If you come across more, let me know.

Heather
