James Armitage, 1813, Courtableau

Am looking for any information about James Armitage who received 500 acres by "order of survey and settlement" in the "county of Opelousas", (now St. Landry County) June 14, 1813. The water source is Courtableau. (Vol 2, p868, American State Papers...)Think there may be marriage records in St. Landry courthouse. Can anyone help me? Thanks. S.A. Eyre
