Dear Bob, I have not seen this book, have you? I've never met Mr. Young, but from time-to-time, I run across his name and the titles of two of his books. The other one is The Langley Family of Southwest Louisiana. Mr. Young answered a query on the Langley Family Genealogy Forum Msg. #1803. His e-mail is listed: jaylu@centurytel.net In the October 2003 Newsletter from the Evangeline Genealogical and Historical Society, James Reed, Editor wrote: We received a letter recently from Mr. John A. Young, P. O. Box 100, Basile, LA 70505 telling about his book, The Langley Family of Southwest Louisiana, etc. Some years ago, The Evangeline Genealogical & Historical Society published The Fontenot Family 1600-1903: A Genealogical Study of the Descendants of Jean Louis Fontenot dit Colin and Louise Angelique Henry. Information in the book was first compiled by Barney Ortego; edited & annotated by John A. Young; indexed by Ramona A. Smith. (Ramona A. Smith & Kathleen M. Stagg compiled and edited two books that I know of: The Old Ville Platte Cemetery and Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Ville Platte, LA.) Have you seen Stephanie Elizabeth Inge's Home Page, Diggin' for Roots in South Louisiana? She has the Descendants of Pierre Lejeune I listed on her home page and she references John A. Young's book The Lejeunes of Acadia and the Youngs of Southwest Louisiana many times. http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/i/n/g/Stephanie-E-Inge/index.html Several years ago I corresponded with Elizabeth whose father was the brother of one of my classmates at Sacred Heart in Ville Platte. Perhaps Mr. Young can answer your question re: Jean Lejeune. Hope you and yours had a very Merry Christmas and I wish you and yours a Holy. Happy, and Prosperous New Year.
