Looking for information on ggrandfather, a Methodist Circuit Preacher in Louisiana, the Rev. J. (John) White Davis and his folks. Father is possibly the Rev. John Stone Davis (~1815-1885). Mother may have been Mrs. Mary Ann Davis (~1823-1891). Home base probably Opelusas. J. White Davis married Gypsie Eason HOLYLAND. He died prior to 1905, leaving her with 4 children.
