Old Trail to Natchez
Posted by: Belford E. Carver (ID *****1725) Date: July 01, 2002 at 17:13:08

On an 1806 map, there is a ancient road showing from about Greensburg to Natchez, MS...almost a diagonal line. Can anyone tell me more about this old road to Natchez? Perhaps it went through Woodville, MS.

Also trying to determine if Nolan's Trace went from Rapides (Alexandria) to Natchez. There is a trail, but no name on my map. Nolan's Trace goes from Rapides to Burr Ferry on the Sabine River.

Any help appreciated. B. E. Carver, bcarver@i-55.com
