St. Helena Parish, LA - Deans & Easleys

Seeking information on William Riley and Matilda Caroline Dean who were known to be in St. Helena Parish LA possibly between 1850 and 1870. They migrated from Dale Co., AL where they were on the 1850 AL Census for that county. They had 5 of their 9 children with them at the time they relocated in LA. One of their sons, William Marion Dean, b 7/18/1852 in TX, married Mary Salena Easley in 1874 in LA. It is a possibility that her parents may have been Robert and Luvina Easley who were on the 1870 St. Helena Census. William Marion Dean died in 1925 and is buried in Pike Co., MS. Mary Salena Easley Dean died 9/16/1893 in LA around the Kentwood area.

I realize this information is sketchy at best; and, the connection to the Robert Easley family has not been confirmed. Old family notes indicate that the Line Creek area is where they were.

I would appreciate any information on these Dean and Ard families of south LA. Would like information on "Line Creek" also. I will share any information I have that would be of interest to anyone.

Thanks for you time,
B.Waltman
