I do not have this Hughes Family i have the family of William henry Hughes who was born about 1760 in S.c. He married nancy mary Bell who also gave her birth place as S.C. This couple recieved a Passport from Ga. to move through the indian nation on April 30 1807 This family settled on the banks of the Chappapela creek which is now in Tangipahoa Parish At the time it was ST. Helena Parish. the first record of him in La would be found in the Record of american state papers vol. 3 This show him as a settler west of pearl river in 1812 later records shows him there in 1817 and 1819.
