Did you see the Amos Fisher (Company B: from Avoyelles Parish) and the Ira Fisher (Company G: from St. Landry Parish) in the 8th Louisiana Cavalry? My mother was from Avoyelles - so I thought that name was familiar from somewhere else. Wonder if they were "kin"?
