I first looked for Minnie in the 1900 Census of Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana Dwelling and Family #6, District 75, Ward 5 and there was the following family. It doesn’t look like Virginia is Minnie’s mother.

Haire Hosea P Head        March 1847 age 53, married 4 years, born in NC, Fa: NC, Mo: NC
Virginia wife               May 1870       age 30,        mother of 5, four living, LA, LA, LA
Edgar A son              July 1881       age 18, born in MS, Fa: NC Mo: MS
George W son              Jan 1883       age 17 born in MS, Fa: NC Mo: MS
Luther E. son              Sept 1887       age 12 born in TX, Fa: NC Mo: MS
Susie E. dau              Aug 1889       age 10         born in LA, Fa: NC Mo: MS
Minnie M dau               Dec 1891       age 8 born in LA, Fa: NC Mo: MS
Hattie P dau              May 1896       age 4       born in LA, Fa: NC Mo: MS
Evalina dau              Sept 1898       age 1 born in LA, Fa: NC Mo: LA
H*d**al, John L step-son       Dec 1887 age 12 born in LA, Fa: MS Mo: LA
Brown, Mary A. step-dau       Oct 1891 age 8 born in LA, Fa: LA, Mo: LA

Then, I looked for Hosea in North Carolina and found this family in the
1850 Census Family and Dwelling 126, Wadesboro, Anson County, North Carolina which looks likely:

Hair, Sandford age 42 Farmer born in NC
Emaly age 30 born in NC
William C. age 18 born in NC
Sarah A. E age 16 born in NC
John M. age 12 born in NC
Hosia P. age 3 born in NC

Hope that helps,
Laura
