In my father-in-law's files, there was a notice of a Smith reunion held at Kees Park in Pineville, LA on September 3, 1967. The names listed in the subject line were those of family categories with names and addresses under each one. I cannot figure out the common connection for these names. Were they siblings? Or some other relationships?

The surnames under Columbus were Terrell, Guttierrez, Jackson, Trimble, Lovell, Roberts, Springer, Fuller, Rainwater, LaCroix, Willis, Meek, Voorhies. The top name was Permila (Aunt Mally) Smith. Most of these people were located in Central Louisiana.

Under Emaline Smith, the surnames included were Arrington, Martin, Jamison, Bozeman and Foster. These were mainly in Grant Parish.

Under Ples Smith, the surname listing was Maxwell, Randall, Harris, Blake, Garner, Hopkins and Yeake. These were mainly in Olla, LA.

Under Isom Smith, the surname listing was Hudnell, Boyett, McMillin, King, Fox, Mercer, Moore, Jordan and Long. These people were from Pineville area up through Grant and Winn Parishes.

With a name like Smith, there just isn't any easy way to track a family and their descendants. If anyone has any clues, I'd appreciate your input.

Paula Smith
