Thank you so much! Your information is the first break we have had in finding the parents of our ancestor Stephen Lynch. We have the information from Father Hebert's records taken from Opelousas Church files, but it doesn't include Stephen's parents, nor Mary Wolf's parentage.
Could you please tell me the source of what you have found since I would like very much to get a copy of this record?
Also, you say "probably natives of Germany"...on Mary's family. Was there a German settlement in the area or are the surnames German? Can you suggest any other places we might find further information on this early era?
