My father was James Dalton Chevalier and his father was Marshall Robert Chevalier from the Long Leaf/Spring Creek area. I have no other information on my ancestors, but would be grateful to learn anything about them. I saw a register of Confederate soldiers and there were about 20 Chevaliers listed. There was a general and a surgeon in the 3rd LA Militia. Please respond if you have any info on Chevaliers in the Spring Creek/Melder/Glenmora area. Thanks Tommy Chevalier, Augusta, GA
