Sam, Did the Taylors and Jeters you looking for come from Chambers Co. Ala.??
I was in Chambers Co. and cemeteries there have Taylors and Jeters. They down near Oak Bowery, and many unmarked graves. These families were there about 1831 or soon after. Alfred Key was son of John Key and Anne Taylor and they moved to Chambers Co. Ala.. Have tried to connect the Taylors with the Taylors in Vernon, Natchitoches Parrish from ones in Chambers Co. Ala. but with little success. There was a William Taylor in Milam, tex. just across the line from Many, La. in 1850. the Taylor in Kisatchie, La. was Wm. K. Taylor born 1816, my Grandfather married his daughter Susan. Any connection?
James Key
