Get out your La. map girl.
From Baton Rouge, La. take HWY 190 WEST to La. 1. This goes north around the False River to the Parish seat of New Roads, La. Follow La Highway 1 further NORTH past Morganza (my Dad's hometown) on further to Innis (blinking light & my Mom's hometown) on to ***LETTSWORTH***
Wildwood Plantation, owned by Thomas Graham McIntyre (as you know), is just NORTH of the railroad facing Highway 1, just north of LETTSWORTH. After the McIntyre's owned it, the Coats family had it and then it was purchased by a vet in New Roads who owns Wildwood Plantation **TODAY**. The old house is still there (don't know if original one or not) and you would have to contact him for all the details. (e-mail me privately for his phone number)
There is indeed a McIntyre family plot at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and my first cousin purchased two lots in that very family plot from a descendant--- Goodloe Stuckey of Shreveport. Do you know him?
My Uncle, as a matter of fact knows a lot about the old Wildwood Plantation place as he use to date one of the Coats girls way back when. You just get in the area and everyone can tell you all about it and your family!
It would be a delightful trip for you and you'd love every minute if you have not been there. Let me know if you have not and definitely prior to heading there so I can help you get a full tour.
Hope this helps! Happy Hunting!
