Hi Sharon,

The marriage records are intact in the Pointe Coupee Parish Courthouse and IF they wed in the Catholic Church then your search is very easy! PCP= Pointe Coupee Parish

The marriage liscense # 1895 is "Elodie Bizette to H. Jarreau". Why do you think that the father was Meida Bizette?

Does the name Nadeze Bizette ring a bell??
I took a quick look and I would bet that Elodie ("Ludia, Lucia, Luda") was the daughter of Rosalie Bueche (Buiche, etc) who married Louis Bizette 12 Dec 1901 PCP Marriage Liscense # 1491.

Take a look at the 1910 Census and the 1920 Census PCP Ward 8. You will see Louis & Rosalie with their kids. See if any of that rings a bell. If you need that info., let me know.

If I am right, then YOUR Elodie's older sister was Nadeze Bizette who married Maurice J. Bizette. Maurice Bizette was the brother of MY grandfather. I knew Maurice and Nadeze Bizette.

See what you think.....if they married in the Catholic Church then I can etll you how to write for the record which often lists the parents etc.
