This is a longshot, but....
I'm under the impression that some of Oscar's children currently live in the Plaquemine Parish area.
Oscar R (?) HOLMES, b. June 08, 1896, married Ruby SINGLETARY.
Father to Oscar was Robert W. "Bob" HOLMES, b. 1867 in TX, married Mary Eboline OVERSTREET.
Father to Robert was William F. HOLMES, b. 1836 in ???, married Lettie R. RICHARDSON.
I am currently researching this family. If anyone out there is researching the same family, I would love to get in touch with you.
