Young's in West Monroe
Posted by: Colin Young Date: January 13, 2000 at 11:37:56

Trying to find information on three Young brothers John (Jack) Taylor Young, Thomas Young and James Young. All born Scranton Pa between 1868 and 1873. Ancestors were from Scotland.
All three brothers returned to Scotland for a short time (1875 - 1890's), then returned to the USA where they ended up in West Monroe, Ouachita Parish, having lived for a short time in both Orange Tx and, Mccomb Mi.

Believe John, (an iron foundry man) married a Frances Fletcher in Glasgow Scotland in 1895 and had 3 sons and 2 daughters.

One daughter, Lilly, married an Emory Snoddy and lived in San Antonio. A son, John Fletcher Young married an Ealoner Powell and in turn, had 3 sons. Believe another daughter (Mary?) married an Eastin in Orange Tx.

If anyone has any connection with these Youngs or, any information, I'd love to hear from them.
