Update on Adelaide Macarty. She was NOT the daughter of Therese Dauphin. She was her neice. I got a copy of Therese's succession (in French), but it clearly states that Adelaide Macarty was her "neice Adelaide Forstall". Since then, I have found another possible lead, but still need help. The document is from the index of the Notarial Archives of New Orleans and it states that Therese Dauphin was the sister of Lizetta who was the mother of Adelaida. At the time, Adelaide(a) was three years old and listed as a mulatto in the household of Nicolas Forstall. His son, Eduardo Forstall, had power of attorney for his father in 1792. Could Nicolas or Eduardo be Adelaide's father? Still where does the Macarty come in???
