Diana: I'm guessing that you obtained the asylum information from the Orleans Parish GenWeb site, right? If so, look further on that site at the death index and you'll find that he is NOT indexed which means that Louisiana State Archives, repository for the records, does NOT have a death certificate for Mr. Peck. Insofar as his burial location, I don't have a clue. Note that he had been living in Pascagoula, MS so maybe his body was returned there for burial. At the time, the main New Orleans potter's cemetery was Charity but records of burials there are sparse, at best. Rick
