That's ok. I will let those demons lie. I was just happy to locate her. I'm not going to pass any judgments on her. Her mother had died recently before the 1920 census and her little brothers were in the Alexandria Methodist Orphanage. Her father, meanwhile, was living in a home with his siblings and his nieces and nephews. Sounds like a great dad. After he remarried, he took back the two boys to live with the couple. I haven't found a marriage record for Lula Mae, but I wouldn't blame her for marrying just to get away from dear old dad. Considering they lived in Vernon Parish, looks like the only time he took time for her was where to send her away.
