We are looking for information pertaining to Willis J. Bishop (aka W. J. Bishop) who lived in New Orleans from 1855 (possibly even earlier) to 1868. He was born circa 1808 in VA or KY and he died 2 Mar. 1868 in New Orleans. In his later years, he was a partner with Adam Thomson in a suger refinining company know as A. Thomson & Co.

Willis married Mary ??? ca, 1834 who was born circa 1815 in Germany. They had at least one child - a son named Willis F. Bishop (1835-1873) who was born in Indiana and died in Macoupin Co. IL.

Any information that you can provide about Willis J. Bishop of New Orleans would be greatly appreciated.
