Looking for information on David Gould Weir/Wire and his wife Lydia Knight of New Orleans. Their eldest son was born in Louisiana abt. 1824 and the family lived in New Orleans. David was from Milford, Conn.and had been a seaman. Lydia was the daughter of John Knight Jr. and Christiana Crissie Sims of St. Helena Parish, LA. Lydia's mother and grandmother according to family lore moved to Bayou St. John after John Knight's death. Christiana Knight is said to be buried in Carrollton Cem.
