Julie, since you mention "free woman of color" then I GUESS that the time period is pre-emancipation. I did locate an obit citation for a Felicite Faucheaux (nee Zeringue), wife of Armonge Faucheaux. She died April 1943, I believe at age 81 or thereabouts. Thus her dob would have been about 1862, perhaps she is the daughter you mention. You can obtain the obit from the NO Public Library.
