There is a Marcy Perry listed in the 1930 East Baton Rouge, La. census.
It looks like he was either adopted by his stepfather, William O. Perry, or he took the last name of Perry, because there is a Marcy Perry, born Sept. 4, 1884, listed in Social Security Death Index who died in Long Beach, Los Angeles Co., CA., in June 1969. He is, also, listed in the California Death Index as Marcy W. Perry, born in Louisiana, 9/4/1884, died June 1, 1969 at 84 yrs. of age. His mother's name is listed as Gonigle.
You can obtain an informational death certificate from California for the cost of $12.00, which may give you information on any surviving family members-if any.

Here is the website where you can download and print out the form to order the death certificate by mail from California.
