Kenneth,I don't think that there is one large work which indexex all of the cemeteries in New Orleans. At least I have never seen or heard of such a book. However, let me suggest this, if you haven't already pursued it: LDS has many, many New Orleans cemetery records on microfilm. Have you checked their catalog to see their holdings? You can rent these films through your local LDS library for a modest fee. They do have St. Louis Cemetery #1, #2 and #3, interment records, 1770-1935, which is contained on 14 reels of microfilm. It appears that the records are alphabetically arranged so that certainly helps and tells you exactly what films you will need to order, if you decide to pursue this quest.

There is also a multi-volume work titled: "Sacramental records of the Roman Catholic Church of the Archidiocese of New Orleans" which consists of 18 volumes. Or at least I can only find 18 volumes covering the period 1718-1829. Maybe they have since published additional volumes. If anyone has them it would be NOPL. I didn't check their catalog.

Don't know if any of this helps but thought I would mention it.
