I know there are many Munsons from Louisiana, particularly Terrebonne & Assumption Parishes.
Does anyone show the following James Munson in their records?
James Munson was born c. 1831, probably in Louisiana (according to his death certificate).
James lived in New Orleans, and married Mary Bachus (b. 1840).
James and Mary had the following children, all presumably born in New Orleans:
Eulalie b. March 1860 (probably died as an infant)
Mary b. January 1865 and died March 1865
Charles Frederick Munson b. August 17, 1868
James died August 20, 1869 in New Orleans.
I have found James in the 1860 New Orleans census, but have been unable to trace him back any further. I would love to find someone who has him in their family tree. My husband descends from James through Charles.
