I am a descendant of Mary Elizabeth Edwards born 1842 in Jefferson Co. Florida, married Iredell Bryan 1854 in Thomas County Georgia and died 1913 in Dekalb Co. GA. In addition to these places, she lived in Natchitoches LA and had a farm near Jacksonville, FL. She was a prominent journalist and novelist, writing for Uncle Remus Magazine, Sunny South, Fireside, and others. She also wrote novels, her most popular of which were Manch and Wildwork. The latter was a fictionalized version of real events she witnessed during reconstruction in Louisiana. I am trying to connect with anyone having more information on Mary Edwards Bryan.
