On I-49 about 15 miles north of Natchitoches, La, sign above freeway says Allen. Was at one time a store there,. Most of the Allens in Bienville, DeSoto, Natchitoches, Sagine Parrish probably came from Chambers Co,. Ala, place called Oak Bowery, a large Allen Cem. located there. Likely married into the Kidd Family also, I do have some material on the Allens, but don't remembver the one you mentioned, James Key
