Byron
Hampton Vowell purchesed land in Township 7 Range 9 west in Natchitoches Parish in 1863, the location of Vowell's Mill. The Vowell Familly operated a grisk mill on Chori Creek. The original Vowell's Mill was located near Red Rock cemetery, years ago I visited the site and there was some of the mill timbers in the creek, there was a cemetery at the site but due to logging this site is lost. Let me know if you have Vowell's Mill connections
Bob
