migrated to Natchitoches Parish about 1860 with wife Malinda Jarratt, listed in U. S. Census of parish in 1870 deed, under private signature, with two witnesses, recorded at Conveyance Book 79, page 356, records of Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana from King H. Pharis to Dr. John D. Addison, the affidavit on the deed is dated Oct. 26, 1883, recorded same date. Property is described as being about 9 miles from the Post, at Bayou Blue, between Bayou Provencal and Bayou (Sara) about 400 arpents, less 80 "acres" previously sold, for $239 .
