McCray family, 1800s , south Louisiana

I'm searching for information on William V. McCray who married Ann Elizabeth Irion and lived in New Orleans in 1862. He worked at Montgomery Hall & Company. I don't know what that was, but he gave that address in a letter dated March 22, 1862. The "V" probably stands for Vick.
