In North Louisiana, beginning in 1820 I have found in census records the names Swepson, Achilles, John and Georgre Richard Jeffries. There are land sale records, one of which is a sale of Swepson and George R, Jeffries in 1830-31, this land was in Ouachita Parish Louisiana and next to the Mississippi river.
George Richard Jeffereis was born about 1809 in Kentucky. I found a Swepson Jeffries in Kentucky in 1810 census with 3 males under age 10,1 m 10-16,1m 16-26,1m 26-45; 1 f under10,1f 10-16,1f 16-26 and 1 f 26-45.At the present time I can not prove tbat this is the family that my George Richard belongs to, but I believe that to be a fact. I am hoping someone out there can help me with ANY
information on these families.
