I am looking for Anna Mary Miller who married William Valentino Schwing (could be Joseph William Schwing). She was born about 1887-1889 in Baltimore I believe. She had 2 children. The oldest was born in Avery Island, LA 1907, Vincent Schwing. The youngest was born in Dunbar, LA May 1911. This is what is listed on the social sec. applications. There is a website showing a cannery factory in Dunbar, LA on the internet. This is the only reference I can find to Dunbar. The photos were from 1911, the same time frame that I am looking for. I do know that Anna Miller Schwing worked for the Lord Mott Co. in Baltimore, MD in the 1930's. I found out that this is also a cannery factory on the wharf. Just from this information, I believe that she went to LA to work in a cannery factory and may have met William Schwing in LA (since there are lots of Schwings in that area). Then later moved back to Balt. MD where she is from and worked in the "field" that she was skilled in. I do know that there was a cannery called Dunbar Brothers Cannery or similar. I am wondering if the people who worked for these canneries actually "lived and worked" on the same property, hence Dunbar, LA? Does anyone have information pertaining to the canneries in LA in the early 1900's?
